At over 180 years old, the Highland Society is one of the oldest student societies at the University of Edinburgh. The society promotes Gaelic at the University and in the city. Amongst other activities, the Society organises the Highland Annual each year - Edinburgh's longest-running cèilidh. Attendance of the cèilidh and membership of the Highland Society is open to all.
